England’s lowland farms and all its other habitats have a heck of a lot they can offer us as citizens. I hope the saying “Take nothing but pictures. Leave nothing but footprints.” has greater prominence in your mind when you look at the following captures. All the photographs were taken from a selection of my bird study sites this season, right from February before the two “Beast from the East episodes struck the UK and prior to the impacts felt by the nationwide dry spell which has only recently receded somewhat.
