The United Kingdom has an abundant and rich variety of bird life, and it exists in many different habitat types. However, I feel we are broadly still failing to monitor the birds in an effective manner due to landowners and others often being unaware of what they have on their patches. My role is to make him or her aware of just how alive, or otherwise, some sections of their landholdings can be and, through my monitoring data and observations, build a healthier environment in which they can breed, roost and ultimately thrive.
